Here is a nice thread on that issue.
I believe that it refers to slipped stitches. You slip the first stitch of every row… I’m pretty sure! Hope that helps! :happydance:
The stitches don’t have to be slipped, it’s the edge stitches on a pattern, whether it’s one or two or more on each side.
