What does k1 yo k1 into next stitch mean

I would like to know how to do the following stitches required for this dishcloth pattern. k1 yo k1 into next stitch P3.

You need to knit one stitch. Then put the yarn over your needle as if you were going to purl the next stitch but knit that one too. Then you purl the next three stitches. (I’m not used to it saying knit INTO the next stitch, but I’d say that’s what it means.)

Do just what it says, knit into the st but leave it on the needle, wrap the yarn around the needle for a YO and knit the st again. Then let it drop off the left needle and p3 sts.

Okay! Still not sure what K1,yo, k1 into next stitch means.
Do I k1, do a yarn over and then do a Kfb?

Knit one but don’t slide it off. Bring the yarn forward between the points and knit the stitch again with the yarn in that position and then slide it off. You will have 3 stitches where you had one.

Thanks. Very appreciated. I’ll give that a try.
