hi all, i’m currently knitting an elephant toy and all is good until i ran into this instruction - inc one st into next 2 sts - I’m not sure exactly what that mean. I know how to inc one st into next st but not “inc one st into next 2 sts”. appreciate any help on this.

They probably mean to do what you know how to do, inc 1 in the next stitch, then do it again in the stitch after that. I’d probably use a knit front back in those next two stitches. Does it give the number of stitches you will have at the end of the row? That would make it absolutely certain if doing that makes the right number.
Do a kfb into the next 2 sts.
