What do you think about stripes on this sweater

I want to make this sweater.

I got the Buttercup and the purple yarn on sale at my L Hancock. Instead of using the yellow , I want to use the purple also. I try to make thing more harder then they are. :wall:
Do you think instead of making it strips go around if I make them go up and down with the drop stitches, would that look OK? :shrug:

Personally, I’d prefer it plain…I think the stripes would look referee like done up and down. Just my opinion though…I know others like stripes like that.

If you’d like to do the stripes vertically it will require learning intarsia to prevent holes. It’s not difficult, but takes practice. I suggest doing a swatch to practice.

Thanks Jan, I think you are right. My yellow (buttercup) will look alot better then 2 colors… Just needed another opinion. :hug:
