Weaving in tail on BO edge

I usually work in ends as I go, but there’s still that tail on the BO edge. Is it best to duplicate stich the BO sts? Or is it better to drop down a row and duplicate stitch as normal? I seem to get a little bump at the corner of my work when I do this.

I don’t do a duplicate stitch, just pull it through several sts, following the line of the yarn. Guess that’s the same. I do it on the BO row, or the next one.
