Weaving in ends help

I make scarves and I need to make a scarf without
weaving in ends as there is no fringe. I use a size 17 needle and it’s made with trellis ribbon yarn. My problem is that the knot keeps coming undone. How do I stop this. I have thought about buying some stuff to prevent fraying and put that on the knot but have never used it before. Has
anyone else done this? Does it work?

I made some scarves using that yarn, and I wove in the ends with no knots, and so far they have stayed put. I think I used size 13 needles though, so maybe that made a difference.

If you end up (no pun intended!!) using Stop Fray, I’d like to hear how you liked it.

When you wove in the ends you could not see them? When I tried to weave in the ends, the ends fell out. Knitting is real loose with size 17 needles. I will try the fraying stuff and will let you know.

Thank you for answering me! Mary

I ended up weaving them in further than I have for other yarns (like half a row or more). The yarn coloring was ‘busy’ enough that eventually I couldn’t see the ends anymore, and that’s when I had the courage to cut the yarn! I still think they could slip out and show, in which case I would try using the stop-fray, or possibly sew them down with a tiny bit of thread (a tip I read from some one else on this site).

Good luck! I look forward to hearing what method worked for you.
