Greetings,
My preferred method to work in my yarn ends is generally duplicate stitch which I learned on KnittingHelp.com.
Recently, I have watched a couple of video demonstrations by Eunny Jang on how to weave in ends as you knit. One demo is available on a Knitting Daily TV episode (505) from the Series 500 DVD. The other demos is accessible in this Knitting Daily TV segment on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dtkY0JU9WA).
I know there are other ways to work in ends while you knit, but what I like about this method is that there is no bulk where you are weaving in the yarn ends. This method also works for same color or new color yarn joins.
The demos show this technique with the knit stitch. Does this mean this method will not work with purl stitches or ribbing?
Other than any stitch limitations, is there any other reason not to use this method for weaving in ends with the exception of a reversible item such as a scarf?
Thank you,
Amy
