Does anyone know how to do the wave pattern?
I did a video a while ago to help Merryknitter do a crocheted wave pattern for a blanket. http://www.hookedonneedles.com/2008/10/learn-to-crochet-double-crochet.html That is the link to my video post.
This is the link to the pattern for the Noah’s Ark blanket: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/noahs-ark-blanket but you could just use the pattern for the background part of it and not do the ark and animals and all that. It would make a nice blanket, either for a baby or a full size afghan!
Here’s a link to my post showing Merryknitter’s finished blanket: http://www.hookedonneedles.com/2009/01/crocheted-noahs-ark-blanket.html
And here’s a link to my post showing the same blanket made by me: http://www.hookedonneedles.com/2011/06/crocheted-noahs-ark-blanket-finished.html
Hope this helps a little, even if you just use the video to figure out the stitch!
The wave pattern i’m looking for is just like the zig-zag pattern (peaks & valleys) except it’s done in double crochet. Can anyone please email me this pattern by posting a reply to this? Thank you!!
Can someone please write down the pattern? I also know it is dne in multiples of ten. Thank you.
all you have to do is google crochet wave pattern and you’ll get lots of versions…besides what I posted above, here is another I found with that google search right off the bat, and it has the pattern written out… http://thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-waves-throw-afghan.html
Directions for how to get a wave pattern:
Okay, first you get a bunch of people together, all sitting down in a room and facing (roughly) the same direction. Next, starting at one side of the room, people jump up and stick their hands in the air (preferably while screaming loudly). Then the next group/section of people jump up, arms waving, while screaming loudly. Then the next group/section has their turn, etc., etc. all the way across the room.
Repeat from * to * until everyone is thoroughly sick of it.
Did I get that about right?
Oops! I just realized this is in the Crochet forum. Sorry! Zig zag makes me think you mean ripple…https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=crochet+ripple&oq=crochet+ripple&gs_l=youtube.3..0l10.1272.4227.0.4406.14.12.0.22.214.171.1245.2445.1j8j2j5-1.12.0...0.0...1ac.1.yKL-nRkOHxw OK, it’s also called wave in the video titles.
