Hi all!
I am preparing to make a brimmed hat, however I am a very loose knitter and need to definitely put plastic in the brim to make it stiff. I read that you can make a brim with a plastic bottle, how would you go about doing that and also is it stiff enough?

I haven’t seen a plastic bottle used but here are some recommendations for stiffeners to use inside a brim.


Can you drop down a needle size or two to tighten up the knit brim? That seems to be a common recommendation for crochet.
