Very Beginner question: finishing WS

Hey!

What a wonderful past time… I just picked it up last week. I always enjoyed watching my mom knit, never thought I’d get into it!

Working through a pattern and I have hit the words:

‘…finishing on a wrong side row.’ I’m not sure yet how to interpret that:

For this part of the garment, I’m doing st.st.

So… does this mean that when I finish the last stitch of this section, the right needle will have the WS facing me, such that the next row, were I to continue in st.st. would be knit, or is it vice-versa?

I think that asks what I need to ask…

Thanks a heap!

Welcome!
If you are working in st st and the knit side (smooth) is your right side…then, ending with a wrong side row means that you will have just purled a row.
Good luck!

You’re a dear! Can’t thank you enough. Looking forward to lots of projects…
