Varigated yarn, no label

I was given lovely varigated yarn by a close friend without label as they were clearance. My guess is worsted type weight…I would like to knit a scarf with it …any ideas on pattern for a varigated yarn.

If the yarn is just variegated then most any simple pattern will be fine. Here’s a few that would look great.
