Can someone advise me? When knitting with variegated yarn - do you finish the whole ball before starting a new one or do you start a new ball when you have finished the back and start a front with a new ball???
Welcome to the forum!
You can do either, depending on how much yarn you have. Are you using a variegated yarn now? If so which one and what are you making?
Iām using Sirdar Snuggly Baby Crofter chunky and knitting a cardigan for my 4 year old granddaughter

This is a self-patterning yarn. If you want the 2 fronts or 2 sleeves to match each other then it would be good to start either with a new skein (assuming the skeins are identical) or at the same place in the color repeat. This may help with an idea of how to judge this.
