Started a class at my LYS this week doing this pattern. Wondered if anyone else has made it? I have started THREE TIMES in THREE different yarns and keep frogging and starting over.
Most of the class is doing it in cotton, I want to use wool. My thrid yarn is Berroco Pure merino, and I think I like it but am getting veruy frustrated, we are supposed to up to the arm hole by the next class (tuesday) and I’m still woking on the ribbing:frog: 
Very nice pattern, Ginny. I think I’d want to do it in wool also.
Hope you can get some help from the class, I’d love to see a picture of it on a real woman, not a model.
May I ask why you keep frogging it?
Are you having problems wih the sts or do you just not like the yarns you have used?

I keep frogging because I don’t like the way it’s working up. The positive side of that is that I’m getting the pattern down pat and getting the “hang” of reading charts.
My first yarn was a New Zealand wool that I bought on the cone in bulk. It was just too stiff and scratchy, apparently it softens with washing but it was miserable to knit with. When I use that yarn it will be for a simple patter that moves quickly not a cable chart that requires slow concentrated knitting.
The NEXT yarn I tried was a worsted Brown sheep super wash wool. I thought it would be perfect because it is for my daughter and I know she won’t be too happy about having to be too careful when washing. It was ok but it is more of a DK weight and I couldn’t get the gauge I wanted and was afraid it would be too small.
So I finally settled on the Pure Merino, I LOVE the stitch definition and the way it feels. After already doing two gauge swatches I SICK OF SWATCHING so I decided to plunge right in. Once I get the first repeat done I’ll check my gauge, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it is close because I’M REALLY TIRED OF FROGGING!!!
The pattern size is 40-44-48 etc. I need a 42. My gauge is slightly over so I am using the instructions for 40…

Ravelry has 50+ projects. I think I am pretty happy with the PUre Merino. I got a complete repeat done last night and am happy with it. Need to check the gauge when I get home tonight but am keeping my fingers crossed…
I LOVE the way Ravelry gives you ideas for modifications. I am now picturing the patter done LONG SLEEVED with a Zip front!
