V neck shaping (center)

I am working on making a Vest and having trouble with this pattern instruction. This part is for the center of the V-neck.
Pattern reads:
Gently pull the fabric apart and pull up the third bar between left and right front, twist stitch and place it on the left needle with the working yarn Nick twisted stitch. I don’t understand the twisting part. Please help!

Welcome to KnittingHelp!
The instructions want you to change the way the stitch is mounted on the needle. Here are two videos that talk about the way the stitch sits on the left needle.http://www.knittinghelp.com/video/play/avoiding-twisted-stitches

You can pick up the bar and place it on the left needle and then look at the way it sits there. If the back leg of the new stitch is closer to the tip of the needle, you’ve twisted the stitch. If the front leg is closest to the tip, you’ll need to slip the stitch over to the right needle and then slip back to the left needle knitwise.
When the stitch is twisted, you’ll see an X at the base of the stitch as the videos describe.
