V Neck Pattern Help

Hi, I am doing a V Neck knitting pattern, first time I have ever done a V Neck. I need help with the pattern, it reads:
(K1, P1) 22 [23:25:26:27] times, s1, K1, (This is stitch left on safety pin), K2tog, (P1, K1) 33[36:38:40:41] times. 113[121:129:135:139]sts.
Next Row: (P1, K1) 32[35:37:39:40] times, P1, P2tog, P1, P2togtbl, P1, (K1, P1) 21[22:24:25:27] times. 111[119:127:133:137]sts.
Work 4 rows more, dec as before. 103[111:119:125:129]sts.

I cannot work out how to do it, do I just repeat the last 2 rows exactly the same, or do I need to work it out? Help much appreciated.
Thank You.

I bet there’s a mistake in the pattern at the V. There should be a decrease on both sides of the center at the point of the V, maybe a slip one, k1, pass slipped stitch over.
If you continue with 4 more rows, 2 decreases each row that’ll decrease 8sts and the total stitch numbers will work.

You won’t be able to follow the exact numbers for the repeat of (K1,P1) because of these decreases but if you look at your knitting you’ll be able to see when the ribbing stops and the decreases should occur by locating the central knit stitch.

I’m still don’t feel that confident on what I’ve got to do, may unknit what I have done and do a round neck instead! Thank you for your advice and help.

You could always try this out on a swatch. Cast on 20 sts or so and mark the center stitch. Then work in rib to 2sts before the marked stitch, s1,k1, psso (or ssk if you prefer), knit the center marked stitch then k2tog and continue with ribbing. On the wrong side row, purl the center stitch.
It’s as you prefer. A round neck would be nice too.
What is the name of your pattern?

Hi, My pattern is King Cole Double Knit, number 4577

Very cute pullover. Yes, I see the round neck option, too.

Yes, so I think that’s what I will do, sort it and do the round neck instead, hope that will be more straightforward. I have done many King Cole patterns before and had no problem.
