Using ML with patterns from Sensational Knitted Socks?

I love this method of knitting socks, but have difficulty with some patterns that are written for DPNs or 2 circs, specifically those that refer to a specific needle rather than a number of stitches. Have any of you used patterns from this book with ML, and did you have any difficulty? I think I’m just dense.

I do it all the time. Follow the instructions for 2 circs - when you have your stitches ready to go with magic loop with half the stitches on one side and half the stitches on the other, think of the ‘front half’ as Needle 1 and the ‘back half’ as Needle 2, and it will work the exact same way.
