I just went out and bought my first sets of double sided needles, and I’m testing my newly acquired knitting prowess by making a simple baby hat. It’s coming out beautifully, but is it supposed to be coming toward me as I knit? I can flip it down so it’s pointing away, but then the nice stockinette side is on the inside. Am I doing something backward?
DPNs… oops. Not DSNs.
Starting off with dpns can be a little tricky which is why I like to start with a straight needle and then work off those stitches onto my dpns. Anyway, your project should be behind and below the needles. The stitches you are making should be the closest to you. Does this make sense?
