I have a pattern that calls for worsted, and I was going to use WOTA (felted bag) but the girl I’m making the bag for liked the Merino Style colors better. Now, I know I can swatch it up and do the math to get the bag the right size, problem is, there is chart for an initial in the middle of the bag. Can I adjust this as well? It’s not just a basic block initial, it’s so I’m worried the proportions won’t be right.
Using DK instead of Worsted?
I’d just double the dk yarn and follow the pattern as is.
Well that makes it even easier!!! :cheering: :cheering:
Ingrid to the rescue!
Yeah, it’s just a bag, so the gauge doesn’t matter that much. If it was a sweater…
I think I’ve figured it out…I’m going to do the bag in the WOTA Coal, (her name is Raven and black is her fave color) and then I’m going to double the Merino Style Tide Pool for the letter R in the center. That should work! Ooooh, I can’t wait to get started!!! My order at KnitPicks is going to be outrageous (I’m doing these bags for all the ladies in my family!)
