Upsizing a pattern

How do I upsize the following pattern?

It is a very simple garter stitch pattern. Lion Brand fancy fur and incredible. Size 15 knitting needles…

The incredible is for the fringe. Cast on 36 stitches with fancy fur and work in garter stitch until piece measures 60" from the beginning.

Could I just use a bigger needle? And, will I need more yarn???

Do you want to make it longer or wider? For wider you can cast on more stitches, for longer, keep going past 60". Using a larger needle would make it a looser stitch, but that would give it a lacier look, it’s up to you. And yes, you’d need more yarn.
