Update on my first afghan!

Hi everyone,

I received my Addi Turbo Circular Needles size 17 yesterday and OMG what a big difference. I love them so much and now after knitting 6 rows on my first afghan I can say that I love knitting straight on them. It was a little bit difficult at first since they’re big needles and I use two strands of yarn but now I’m use to it. I can understand why people thought it was funny that I didn’t like circular needles. I think it’s all about the quality of the needles.

I was wondering if it’s normal that my knitting seems to be a little loose? I imagine it’s loose because of the size of the needles.

Thanks to all the people who helped me answer my questions about my afghan. I will post a picture of it once I’m done.

Yes, with that size needle the sts are going to be a little loose, even with 2 strands of yarn. But that makes it nice and cushy and still warm because of the thermal effect - the little air pockets between stitches.

Yep, just like I told you… if you have needles you love then knitting with circulars is a pleasure. Addi Turbo are expensive, but they are very nice. I don’t have the money to spend on those for all all my needles so I use my KP Options. I have a few of the Addi though and like them.
