I am currently new to knitting doing ok lol , but have come across the term p3 tpg, can anyone tell me what this term means , would be much appreciated ty xx
Welcome to KH!
I wonder if it means p3 tog, purl 3 together? Another possibility is to look at the beginning or the end of your pattern and see if it’s an abbreviation specific to the pattern.
What pattern are you working? Can you give us a pattern name?
Ty so much for reply here’s the pattern …
With 10mm needles, cast on 38 sts. 1st row (RS) Purl. 2nd row K1, *[k1, p1, k1] into next st, p3tpg; rep from * to last st, k1.
3rd row Purl. 4th row K1, *p3tog, [k1, p1, k1] into next st; rep from * to last st, k1. These 4 rows form patt. Cont in patt until scarf measures 220cm, ending with a WS row. Cast off.
Yes, a purl 3 tog.
Would you please edit your post to remove rows 3 and 4? It’s clear from row 2 that it should be p3together.
We run into copyright problems if we post large portions of patterns.
Good luck with the scarf!
