I am VERY new to knitting. I started today in fact. I have done a long tail cast on, and I’m positive I havent messed that up. But, when I try to knit, it starts to unravel.:pout: What am I doing wrong?:???:
I’m not sure what you are doing wrong. Did you watch the video here at KH?

The Lion Brand site also has help with good drawings.

Make sure you insert the right needle tip into the first stitch on your left needle, not between the 1st and 2nd st. If you can’t tell which is what, use larger needles.

Not able to see what you’re doing, I can only guess that your problem is either with the cast on or the knitting. Like Jan said, check the videos and watch them as you DO them step-by-step.
BTW, WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF KNITTING!
Soon, you’ll be past the frustration :hair:and ENJOY IT!![]()
