I made an UNORIGINAL HAT (free download) for my daughter from Schaefer Kathleen. It only required about 1/2 a skein so I took the large cable pattern and made a nice thick headband for myself.
It was a super fast knit, made in an evening.
Wish I could get a clearer pic of the cables, the flash on my camera is too bright. DH is modeling the hat. I thought I might be able to show the cable definition better if it was on.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Sent the hat to my daughter in Utah. It arrived Wednesday. Thursday morning she was getting ready for work, planning to wear the hat, the hat was on her bed. When she got out of the shower she discovered her new puppy had gotten ahold of the hat and chewed a HOLE IN IT!!!
