Unknown Increase language- PLEASE HELP!

I’m working on my first pattern and don’t understand what the pattern author means re: increases.

The instructions read:

Inc, K to last stitch, Inc

For the specific type of increase the author writes, “knit into front and back of the same stitch making two stitches out of one.”

For the life of me I can’t figure out what this means!!

TIA

That’s also called a kfb and you can find a video on the Increases page. Each st has a front leg you normally knit into and a back leg. To do this inc you knit into the front leg leave the st on the left needle and knit into the back leg too. Then let the st drop off the left needle as usual and you have 2 sts on the right needle.
