Wonderful site and maybe you all can help me with a problem I have with my knitting.
My knit stitches are uneven. When I’m knitting stockingnet and look at the knit side, the right side of the knit stitch is a lot tighter than the left–almost looks like a straight line. I’m not talking about the uneveness of the knit side vrs. the purl side, just the lopsidedness of my knit stitches.
Thanks for any help. Again great site

You could have twisted sts, look at the knit and purl videos to see if you’re wrapping the yarn the same way instead of opposite. Sometimes it’s the yarn, but if you get this with all yarns it’s likely how you wrap your stitches.
Go to Knitty.com --search archives. Read “why Ply?”
some yarns will knit up as V’s some will knit up as |/'s and some will knit up as |'s–depending on your style of knitting (standard(aka european), or Eastern or Combo)
its not you, its the yarn.
after a few washing and wearing it is less evident…
See if this helps.

Everyone, thank you so much for your help. At least now I know kind of what is causing it! I’m not twisting my stitches. I thought I was pushing it off the needle the wrong way. I notice it with some frequency but not on all my knitting. Maybe they will block out.
