Uneven armhole stitches

Hello! I am new to knitting and have progressed onto my second pattern - loving it! I m just seeking some help around a missed stitch increase. I have been knitting a yolk for a jumper in the round using size 15mm needles, stockinette stitch:

Round 1 (RS) Lli, sbm, Rli, k to next marker, Lli, sm, Rli, repeat * to * 2 more times, knit to bor m.
Round 2 (RS) sbm, k all sts while slipping markers.

increasing from 3 stitches to 23 for the armhole.

Unfortunately I have forgotten an increase on one of the armholes and, with 3 rows to finish the yolk, sitting with 20 stitches one armhole and 21 the other (21 the correct amount). Just wondering if I can just add another stitch to the armhole of 20 stitches or will this throw the symmetry of the stockinette stitch out? And if I can just add a stitch would it best to add in Round 1 or Round 2?
Your help and suggestions would be much appreciated  Thank you!

What is the name of your pattern?
You’re working with such large needles and maybe very thick yarn that you probably need to add that extra stitch in. You could try making an increase, maybe a Make 1 on the knit row in the area of the marker. It’s going to be a bit trial and error to see which increase to use and where to place it so it’ll be least noticeable.

Thank you! I will try adding on the knit round - that makes total sense  This is the pattern:

Thank you so much!

What a cozy looking sweater and a fast knit.
Try the increase and see how it looks. Let us know how it goes.

Thank heaps - i’ll get back into it after work and let you know how it goes! I really like Sabina’s (Caidree) designs - she has some excellent designs for newbies and it feels very satisfying to be able to achieve a whole garment with very little knitting experience! And living in Tasmania the thicker wool and designs are perfect
Thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at my dilemma - I really appreciate it

One more thought. Since the sweater is top-down, you could add the extra stitch in at the underarm where it’s less likely to show.
