Understanding neck decreases

Hi-I’m working on a pattern called “FLOYD” BY Martin Storey, part of Rowan Designer Collection and I’m hoping someone can make the dividing for the neck decreases clearer.

RS- Sl1, K1, PSSO, K57 sts. K2tog and turn, leaving rem sts on holder. Got this! Then it says to;

Dec 1 st at armhole edge for next 8 rows, then on foll 5 alt rows, then on the foll 4th row AND AT THE SAME TIME dec 1 st at neck edge of 2nd and foll 4 alt rows, then on 3 foll 4th rows. 37 sts. HUH? There are further directions, but I’m hoping once I get this part, the next section will make sense.

THX, Kay

It helps to write these out and check them off as you knit. Dec at the armhole edge on rows 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 then rows 10,12,14,16, and 18 and finally row 22
Dec at the neck edge on rows 2,4,6,8,10, and then rows 14,18, and 22.
That’ll take you from 59sts to 37 sts for that shoulder.

I can’t thank you enough for your help with this. I did try to write it out, obviously I didn’t know what I was supposed to write! K
