Understanding a pattern chart

Hi, I hope someone can help. I am knitting a lace collar, and I have got to the pattern where there are gaps on the chart, ie centre collar row 48-74 stitch 9 RS there are no stitch instructions. What do I do for that space? Do I skip it and go from 8 to 10 to 12, 11 missing also. I hope that makes sense. On the chart it appears to be an empty space. Same spaces on the right and left collars

Regards Julia

That space or sometimes a greyed out box is a place holder. There’s no stitch there.
There are usually increases later in the chart which fill in the spaces. Your idea is correct, skip the spaces. If that means going from 8 to 10 to 12, then that’s what you should do.
