Please help, picture this: I am knitting along in the round on dpns,
all of a sudden I pay attention and see that all my latest rows are showing the pearl side. I check to see the work yarn is in my right hand, making a knit stitch - turns out pearl! Is this possible or am
I still unconscious!
Can you post a picture?
Did your work simply get turn inside out? That is easy to do, especially early in the piece. If so, just turn it rightside out and keep going like you knew what was going on all along! ; ) (That’s what I did when it happened to me!)
It either got turned inside out, or you may have picked them up and started working the wrong direction.
It sounds like you may have accidentally “turned” your work and are now working on the inside in the opposite direction? A picture would help.
Thanks for confirming that working the wrong way/turned inside out causes that.
I think its another lesson for me to PAY ATTENTION!
If the working yarn is in your right hand, check to see if you’re working on the side closest to you, or the side far away (picture your knitting as a cup…you should be knitting on the side you’d drink out of, not the opposite side). As the others have said, you may have turned it around, or inside out.
The truth of the matter is that you have fallen throug a rift in the Y-space continuim and are now in a mirror universe
I hate when that happens.
“Alice, you fell asleep again.”
The other solution is to put your knitting down on a table, walk around to the other side of the table and pick up your knitting again.
Tada! You’ll now be on the right side of your knitting. :roflhard:
