I have knitted all the pieces for this cardigan but completely flummoxed as to how to sew them up. The 2 fronts have a border but there’s no border along the neck. I placed the 2 markers at the neck as instructed then it just says place shoulders to back of neck. The sleeve seam is lower down the shoulder. Just can’t see how the fronts join the back piece. I’ve been juggling it around for ages. Just can’t see how it goes! It’s making no sense to me whatsoever. Any guidance here much appreciated
Perhaps the back neck having no neckband is throwing you off.
Have a look at the first project kn ravekry, there is a photo which you may find helpful, the fronts are sewn on leaving just the small 5 stitch gap on the back neck (where your markers are), so the back neck is very narrow because of the way the cardigan hangs, the fronts form most of the neck area. https://www.ravelry.com/projects/spinningkittle/sucre-cardigan
So, centre front goes to the marker, then align the shoulder seam where front joins back and these should both end at the armhole.
Hmm, my description is not great, hopefully the photo helps.
You can also lay out your pieces and photograph it, we could try to show you on your own pic what to put where.
Oh wow! That is so helpful. Thank you. I will look at the ravelry link. I was wondering about the 5 stitch gap at back of the neck. It just has a small gap there then.
Just in case you still need confirmation, the green lines are where the front edge meets and the back edge for the arm hole, and the front centre joins to marker at the back.
