Anybody think this might be a typo?
Umm...Made of gold?
Oh, I should hope so!
They explained that on their website - they added $100 to each of the prices on the example items because they don’t want you to order the ones that say “Val;” you’re supposed to email them and tell them which name you want.
That makes no sense. All the other stuff is priced in the triple digits too, and it says this…
http://www.cafepress.com/knittingmafia/690030
"DO NOT ORDER THESE ITEMS FROM THIS PAGE!
Did the prices give you a heart attack? Unless your name is Val, you don’t want to order from this page! These images are just to entice you to place an order with YOUR name!
To place a custom order, send an email to TheKnittingMafia@… Be sure to include the NAME and the ITEM you wish it to appear on. That’s all there is to it"
So they’re still that expensive even if you DO order your own name? :??
I don’t get it. The nonpersonalized stuff is much more resonable.
No, I think it means they’re not as expensive; otherwise it would not have bothered with the “did these prices give you a heart attack?” and the stress that you’re not to order from that page.
 I get it now…
I don’t understand how CafePress works, entirely, but I DO know they’ll slap anything on a t-shirt, somehow, even if only one person orders it…so it really doesn’t cost the shop owner any more to make a template for each person that orders.
If anyone has used CafePress, I’d love to know how they do this stuff! I’m a bit weary of the quality, so I haven’t tried it for anything yet.
I use cafe press… quite frequently… and actually once you email them they throw it in the “Customized Proofs” area so you can order from there with the correct pricing…
And yes… they will put ANYTHING on a shirt (I thikn within some limits)
eh i never got so far as getting to their website cuz i didn’t wanna lose my page OR open yet another window when i am pretending to work…lol.
i have ordered t-shirts from them though and have had no problems at all. Nice and heavy and all that.
