Maybe one of you knitting divas can help me. I’m knitting a baby cardigan sweater in garter stitch. I just found a dropped stitch 10 rows back! I know how to correct this when knitting stockinette, but not when it’s garter stitch!
You just do it the opposite way on the purl rows. Insert your hook from front to back on the knit stitches (like for stockinetter) and then from back to front for the purls. I think Amy may have a video of this in the tabs at the top of the page.
I followed how to pick up dropped stitches, but I have nowhere to go with the loop I picked up. I am working an argyle cable, and the dropped stitch was a couple diamonds back. Any suggestions?
On the row you’re currently knitting on, knit to where you picked up the dropped stitch, put the stitch on the left needle, making sure the “legs” are facing the correct way, and just knit it (or purl, depending on the pattern).
