Ugh. Now I feel stupid. :(

I’ve been knitting off and on for a while now. And I can remember asking someone on this forum (at some point in time) what “knit even” meant. But I searched the forums, I searched this site, I even googled and wandered around various “glossaries” and “dictionaries.” :wall:

I cannot seem to find this anywhere, and I know it’s far simpler than I’m making it out to be.
Can anybody help me? :whoosh:

I believe this means knit across the row, or the area that the pattern specifies.

To knit even' means to knit a row or several rows without increases or decreases. Keep the number of stseven’ or the same.

Aw, don’t feel stupid!!!
I spent forever searching for a knit two toggle stitch the first time I saw the denotation of “k2tog.” I knew it had to do a decrease so I finally gave up and just knit two together, and figured I’d find the toggle stitch later.
Little did I know, tog stands for "together."
When you aren’t familiar with the terminology, it makes sense that you would have to ask what things mean!

Ditto to above… that’s why this site is here…

wanna feel stupid, try googling a pattern and seeing your stupid a** question about it come up… UGH! I need to go delete that post…:out:

:muah: There is no such thing as a “stupid” knitting question or “stupid” knitter! :muah:

Thank you, I really needed that. Makes me feel better now. It has been years since I’ve knitted and have doubted my sanity recently but will keep on clicking away.
