Two Tail Cast On?

I have a pattern that requires a “two tail cast on” and I am getting SO confused trying to Google this term. I am finding that some people call it the “thumb” method, which there’s a video here, but I want to make SURE it’s the same thing…help please!

It’s the Long Tail CO or the thumb variation of it.
