Two projects at a stand still!

Hi guys,
I decided to start Yvonne’s Swervy Scarf last night I worked to row 9 but then got stuck. My boyfriend was on the computer and wouldn’t let me get on here to ask about it he says I’m addicted  anyway on row 9
The pattern says kfb first st; K15, K2 tog. I"m lost I don’t know what kfb means and it’s not in my beginners knitting book!!! and K2 tog just means to knit two stitches together right???

I also have started a big block afagan on circlular needles but have never worked with them before I cast on 200 stitches ans then knitted the first row. But now do I continue working in a circle??? It’s seems to me that it wouldn’t be flat if I did.

Help me please I can’t knit until I get some feedback and I’m already going crazy. :help:  Thanks I know you guys understand

Kfb --Its an increase where you knit twice in the same stitch.

As for the afghan, are you sure you have to knit it in the round? Often circs are used for afghans knit flat just to accommodate the large number of stitches.

I can help on the afghan. So you knitted row one. Pretend that there is no cable connecting your two needles…and put your left needle in right hand, right needle in left hand, and do your next row as you would knit with two needles. Make sure when you get to the end of each row that you TURN your work, rather than connecting your work. Otherwise you are going to end up a with tube!!!

Oh thank you thank you thank you did I say thank you. I can knit again :cheering: Your right about the afagan I have to go back and forth or it would be a sleeping bag  Thanks for the clip Ingrid I can do it now. It seems like I just keep thanking you over and over. lol Thanks

Ashley,
Yes; Kfb is the increase; knit in the front and back of that stitch. I thought I put an abbreviations legend on the bottom of that page. I better go add it!
I want to see a picture when you’re finished! :cheering:
