TwistStitch

You guys were so helpful with my previous question I have another. My pattern say to work twist stitches on three stitches: seperately knit the second and therd sts on left needle making sure not to drop off, then knit the first st letting all3 sts drop off left needle together. Sounds simple, and I think I am doing it right. but when I look at it after I have done a couple more rows I do not see a twist. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I hope someone can help. Thank you.

Skip the first stitch on the needle (still leaving it on the left needle, though) and insert your right needle into the second stitch and knit it. Don’t slip any stitches off the left needle yet. Now, knit the third stitch on the needle, still not slipping anything off the left needle. Now, go back and knit the first stitch. At this point you can let all 3 of those original stitches from the left needle drop. You will have made 3 stitches onto the right needle. If you did it that way, you should see a twist because you have reversed the order that the stitches are worked.

I think I am doing something wrong when I drop the 3 stitches off the left needle. I can see the stitches twisted before I drop them off but then just don’t know. I will keep practicing. Thank you for your quick response.
