Twist?

I’m looking at a pattern which says to T2, or twist 2. and then it says this: Row 1 (wrong side) and following alternate rows: purl 2.
Row 2: knit2tog, then knit the first stitch again, drop both stitches together.
These two rows form the pattern.
Is this the explanation on how to "twist 2? If it is, are you JUST purling 2 stitches, then going to the other side?

On the right side you follow the twist directions on those two stitches.

On the wrong side you purl the two stitches that you twisted.
