Last night - we went to Stitch DC in Georgetown and had champagne, chocolate and petted much yarn.
Trillian42 and I bought autographed copies of Wenlan Chia’s new book and some of her new Twinkle yarns…so beautiful!

Oh and we gave Alicia Coppola directions to her hotel when we got off the Metro LOL
I am so jealous! I have the book, but not the yarn. I am coveting the Soft Chunky in Urchin.
What yarns/colors did you get? There is a knit along on craftster for the book.
I made a seriously modified Karate sweater out of Elann’s peruvian cuzco (brushed alpaca). Although it looks nothing like the Karate Sweater, other than the dojo stitch pattern, I like it.

I bought Twinkle Kid Mohair in Ice blue & coral and the Chunky in Soft Pink. Unfortunately, I was on a budget. With my husband standing behind me. LOL
I’m making the Tuxedo Jacket (reworked for my big boobs and broad shoulders) but since I don’t have $150 to spend on 9 skeing of Twinkle Chunky, I subbed Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick for about $46. If I love the result, then I will go invest all that cash.
I’m also looking at the Mohair Shrug, the Incredible Skirt and the Magic Capelet.
Pattern errata? OMG there was a whole page inserted into the book (after-print) so I’m not surprised. But no matter - I’m good enough @ math that I think I can recalibrate the patterns I really like to size up for me. It’s a cool book and even prettier yarns. (They are made by Classic Elite)
I saw it! I touched it! I want Soft Chunky. Why is it so expensive? A new knitting store just opened in the town my parents live in and they had a couple of colors of Soft Chunky. I really like the Soft Pink and Coral Pink. I think the Coral looks better on me. I soooo want to go buy it. At least 4-5 skeins. Must resist… must resist… really want… really want.

I’m making my first Twinkle cardigan but am stuck on the bobble. Every one I make has big holes. Any advice on how to make one with size 19 needles and soft chunky yarn?
