Hi everyone…does anyone have a pattern for a “removable” turtleneck??? Back in my day they called them “DICKIES” :roflhard: :roflhard: Anyway, I would like to do one for my husband to where under his uniform, but take off if it gets to hot…Any thoughts??? Thanks Chele
Turtle neck
I love the ones in the Elizabeth Zimmerman book, knitting around. There are some great variations.
Here’s some freebie ones.

I really like the last two, one has fairisle and the other is a nice cabled one.
Hope this helps

I went and found a pattern for you, but then i came back and read your post again.
I don’t think he’ll want the one I found. It has a bit of lace…
Thanks everyone!!!
i just KNIT a dickie for my brother…
i posted the pattern on my blog, it’s based on a pattern i saw for a woman except i did it top down…
you’d havta reduce the measurements (my brother wanted it a lil larger) and the amount of stitches i cast on…
but you can see it on my blog… if one of the other patterns posted didnt work out…
it was easy!
