Turning to shape

#1

This is from the Sideways Muumuu by Pickles.
I’ve done plenty of short rows before, but these directions seem so vague!

Knit 2 rows in garter sittch.
Start knitting and turning to shape the body
(look this up on youtube if you are unfamiliar
with it):
Knit until 10 stitches remain in the row, turn,
knit until 10 s remains in the row on the other
side, turn.
Knit 6 rows in garter stitch. Repeat the knit
and turn above
.
Repeat between * and * 8 times in total (you’ll
have 9 knit and turns altogether). TIP: If you
want to make the garment narrower this is
where you do it.

Welcome!
There should be asterisks in the pattern which just may not have copied over. The 2 short rows are worked between the 10 end sts in the rows. Then 6 rows are worked in garter before the two short rows are worked again. from that point on you need the asterisks to determine which rows are repeated 8 times.

Thank you! The shaping must be very subtle…still learning; I love it! Thanks again!

Yes, it is subtle so you must be doing it correctly. Enjoy making the sweater and post a photo when you finish. We love to see projects!

I promise!
