Turning stitches

I am attempting a sweater and to work the neck the pattern reads as follows:

Row 1: (RS) K2, s1, k1, psso, k7, turn - 10 sts on right needle

This is working a row starting with a total of 50 stiches. How do I turn stiches? I think I just turn the needles around but I definitely need more specific instruction. Everything I could find about turning has to do with socks. HELP!
And thank you in advance!

It just means to turn your work and knit back the other way. You’ll shape one side of the neck, then after you’re done you’ll join the yarn on the other side and work that side.
Does that make any sense? :??

OK…I think I’m making this harder than it is. So I knit (dec. etc.) the ten stitches over to the right needle then I turn it around. Those ten stitches are now on the left needle and so is the yarn. I just knit them over to the right side and continue work them down while ignoring the remaning 40 stitches? I know you can’t see the directions but the pattern sounds like I work those 10 stitches only until 3 remain…this is so much fun. It’s like solving a puzzle and then you get a sweater as the prize!

Yup, that’s what it looks like to me.
