Turning round?

I can’t figure out why my pattern is notating a turning round. I am already knitting in the round. It is an arm to a stuffed doll so I don’t understand the purpose of turning in the middle of it. Any insight??

Welcome to KnittingHelp!
It may be that at this point in the pattern, you’re doing short rows or turning to start knitting back and forth instead of in the round.
Can you tell us the name of the pattern or give us a link to it?

It doesn’t indicate short rows, nor does it make any sense for it to be a short row. It’s just a straight arm…why wouldn’t you just continue working in the round? I can’t post a link as it’s a paid pattern, but here is a copy and paste:

Limbs
(make 4)
With Serrano. circularly CO 4 sts
Rounds 1 and 2: K
Round 3: *K1, m1, rep from * to end of round (8 sts)
Rounds 4-6: K
Round 7: *K1, m1, rep from * to end of round (16 sts)
Rounds 8-12: K
Round 13: P (this is a turning round.)
Rounds 14-19: K
Round 20: *K2, k2tog, rep from * to end of round (12 sts)
Work 1 round plain, break Serrano and join Robot.
Cont in st st (k every round) for 24 rounds more.
Stuff legs firmly at the feet and loosely at the tops.
Slide first 6 sts onto one DPN and last 6 sts onto another DPN. Holding work with working yarn coming from rightmost st on back needle, work a 3-needle BO in knit.

And here is a picture.

Sometimes a purl round is used to turn a hem but I don’t see that in this pattern. I don’t see a purl round in the photo either. Unless you can see a purl round in another photo (you could check projects on Ravelry), I’d ignore the direction to purl and continue in knit rounds all the way.
