The knitting pattern I’m currently doing has this pattern-
“Cast off 10 sts (1st remaining on right needle), k3, turn. There should now be 4 sts on your right needle and 7 on your left”
Can someone explain this to me? Mainly the part with the turn
Thank you!
By turn they mean to turn as you would as if you were at the end of the row. Don’t worry about the 7 unworked sts on the left needle. You’ll get to them later.

So basically, I work the row, do I transfer the three I just worked to the other needle and work again? Is that correct?
Cast off 10sts, k3. You’ll have 4sts on the right needle and 7 on the left. Leave all the sts as is and switch the needles in you hands. Now you’ll have 4sts on the left needle and 7 on the right.
The next directions will tell you how to work the 4sts from the left needle.
Your directions have the “turn” incorrectly placed. It should come after the: "There should now be 4 sts on your right needle and 7 on your left” Now turn.
