I’m working on my 1st sock using circ. for olympics kal. My pattern is written for 5 dpns. (my socks soar on circ. on back order 
).
So far so good-- turned the heel, now on to the gussett.
I finished the heel and now have half (12 sts.)the stitches on the needle.
Heel Gusset With an empty needle (is that my second that now holds the cuff?) knit the 2nd half of the heel sts. cont. with the same needle, pick up and knit 10 sts. down left side of heel. work across instep sts in k2-p2 rib as previously est. With remaining needle, pick up and knit 10 sts. up right side of heel and knit across heel sts. You should have half the hel sts. plus gusset sts. on needle #1, the instep sts on needle #2 and #3, and the right side gusset plus half the heel sts. on needle #4. Round now begins at center of heel…
*if someone can help get me to this point I’m sure I can figure out the gusset shaping.
