:cheering: Just wanted to thank you for your simple, but brilliant pattern for the wedge shaped tunisian washcloths. I watched your video, and tried one yesterday. It came out beautifully, and I am going to use it for a dishcloth. I am not the “creative” type so no thinking up patterns for me!! If you read the post, you will see that this is not my own pattern, but one that was found by someone else on Ravelry and I was given permission by the designer to make the video and offer it on my website. Khebhin Gibbons was very generous to allow me to share his pattern so I make sure he gets credit for it! :happydance:
Anyway, just a word of warning about making these dishcloths (besides that making them can become very addictive!) …the cotton yarn does shrink a bit when washed, so if you like a generously sized cloth to stay generously sized, you might want to use a starting chain of 20 or more.
In this post: http://www.hookedonneedles.com/2009/07/correction-on-magic-number-for-tunisian.html I mention that a starting chain of 18 using variegated cotton uses up almost an entire 2 ounce ball, and results in a cloth 11 inches across. If you are using a larger ball of cotton, or if you don’t mind adding in new yarn, you can go even bigger just by increasing your beginning chain. Trial and error is the best way to figure out what will give you the results you will like best.

I did it. It’s around 8.5’ wide. If it draws up when laundered, I’m sure it’ll relax when wet again.
I had to refer to your video. Great help. When I first stitched the first & sixth wedges together it ended up uneven so I took that out & tried again. I laid the cloth right side up & stitched the ends together making the bars line up & the whip stitches look like bars. Hard to see that it’s the seam. My crochet border attempt looked lousy, so mine doesn’t have a border.
