Trouble understanding this pattern format

I am very new to knitting. Could someone please help me understand how to decode this?

Row 1: inc) Kfb, k1 - 3sts
Rows 2, 4 & 6
Row 3: inc) K1, kfb, k1- 4sts
Row 5 inc) Kfb all sts - 8sts
Row 7 inc) Kfb all sts - 16sts

1). What does “Rows 2, 4 & 6” mean, as there is no instruction?
2). Is “inc)” a specific instruction or is it meant to denote, generally, whether the row is increasing in stitches or not?
3). does the # of stitches written at the end of each row indicate the total number of stitches I should have by the end of that row?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help!

Welcome to the forum and to knitting!
What is the name of your pattern? Rows 2,4&6 could be knit or purl or even some different pattern stitch depending on how the finished project looks. It’s a pattern error not to specify how to work these rows.
Yes, inc) is alerting you that there are increases in this row, specifically the kfb (knit front and back). It’s not always specified in a pattern but it’s helpful when it is.
Also the stitch counts at the end of the row help keep you on track after the increases. Yes, they are the number of sts you should have at the end of the row.
You’re doing really well at interpreting these instructions. This all gets easier the more different patterns you do.
