Trouble understanding pattern - inc for sleeve

This is what the pattern says:

Inc and work into patt 1 st at each end of the next to and 7(9:11) foll 4th rows. 58(66:74) sts

I casted on 42 stitches and the pattern is in double seed stitch. The sleeve is suppose to measure 8 1/4 in from cast-on edge. Could anyone rewrite or clarify this part of the pattern?

Welcome to the forum!
Increase one stitch at each end of the increase rows. For the first size, if you call the next row, row 1 then you would increase on rows 1,5,9,13,17,21. 25 and 29 (that’s the next and 7 following 4th rows). If you haven’t reached the given length then usually patterns have you continue in pattern until you reach that length.
Increasing will disrupt the pattern at the edges at first but you should look to the rows below to make sure that you continue with the alignment of the pattern. On the following row you can take the increase into the double seed pattern.

What is the name of your pattern?

Thank you this is helpful. The name of the pattern is hooded sweater
