Trouble reading pattern !

Struggling to follow this row: P8 [8:10:6:8:7], P2tog, (P8 [11:11:10:13:11], P2tog 10 [8:8:10:8:10] times, P8[8:10:6:8:7]
107 [113:117:123:129:135] sts.
Specifically the section from P2tog 10 etc?
Thank you. It’s a sweater pattern :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello
Can you give us the name of the pattern and designer please, or a link to the pattern?

It would be helpful to know which size you are working, first, second, third, etc
Also it looks like there is a bracket missing in your text, could you just check if you have it exactly as written in the pattern, there may be a typo in your message or in the pattern.

The general rule is that one set of brackets, in this case the [square] bracket gives the different number for each size, you only need one size number which you can circle or highlight on your pattern, and the other brackets in this case (round) brackets gives a series of instructions inside the bracket which should all be completed the number of times outside the bracket.
For the smallest size
P8, p2tog (p8, p2tog) 10 times, p8

Thank you for responding :slightly_smiling_face:. Yes apologies omitted a round bracket.
King Cole 3363 double knit 126 size, 3rd size. So does it mean P11, p2tog 10 times, P10 ?

P11, P2tog 8 times, P10.

You’re using the 3rd size, which is the 2nd one inside the brackets. This is why it’s good to go through and mark your size for all instructions before you start–it’s so easy to hop over one size!

Ask me how I know…
