Trouble Interpreting Teddy Bear Pattern

Hi, I’m new to knitting and am having trouble reading and interpreting the Debbie Bliss “Teddy Bear” pattern.

In the “BODY” section, I’m not understanding the “cast on 22 sts. K10 rows. Cont in garter st and inc 1 st at each end of next row and 6 foll 6th rows. 36 sts. K 7 rows.”

Can someone break it down by individual rows for me?

Hi! Cute pattern! I recently made my first teddy bear. They’re so fun to make. I’m gonna try to explain this clearly…
And where I put ‘yo’, you can use a yarn over or any increase method you prefer.
Cast on 22 stitches.
Rows 1-10: Knit
Row 11: K1, yo, knit across to last stitch, yo, K1. (24 sts)
Rows 12-16: Knit
Row 17: K1, yo, knit across to last stitch, yo, K1. (26 sts)
Rows 18-22: Knit
Row 23: K1, yo, knit across to last stitch, yo, K1. (28 sts)
Rows 24-28: Knit
Row 29: K1, yo, knit across to last stitch, yo, K1. (30 sts)
Rows 30-34: Knit
Row 35: K1, yo, knit across to last stitch, yo, K1. (32 sts)
Rows 36-40: Knit
Row 41: K1, yo, knit across to last stitch, yo, K1. (34 sts)
Rows 42-46: Knit
Row 47: K1, yo, knit across to last stitch, yo, K1. (36 sts)
Knit next 7 rows.
Continue in pattern.
Hope this helps! Good luck with rest of pattern!

Thank you so much! I still don’t understand the whole “6 foll 6th rows” part but I can follow your directions!

inc 1 st at each end of next row and 6 foll 6th rows. 36 sts. K 7 rows

After you work the first increase row: Work 5 rows and increase again on the next (6th) row. You do that 7 times. Does that help?
