Triple increase in moss st

The instructions read: FRONT RIGHT. Work in moss st, beg 1st row (RS) with edge st p1(p1,k1etc). Here is the problem. SHAPE CURVE: On right edge of foll alt rows, inc 3 sts twice. I’ve tried every inc I know and can’t inc 3 sts and keep pattern in moss st. inside selvedge st. Any ideas?

You could k, p, k, p into one stitch, or pkpk into one stitch depending on what would come next in pattern. It won’t be perfect, but just work those in pattern on the next row and they’ll blend in.

I was able to inc by kpkp in one st but now I have a hole under the inc. I knitted in back loop, p in front loop. I wrote to Phildar but nver rec’d an answer. Thanks for your help.

Amy has this increase technique for moss

Aren’t you being asked to increase 3 stitches into 6 stitches which is what the video of Amy’s would do??? In other words you K,P in each stitch (I’m not that good at this stuff so I’ve only proposing an idea)

Susan, that sounds like the correct way to do the increases. Not all at once, but over a coupla stitches.

I rec’d a call from the Phildar translators who are in France today. They will email me with specific directions. When they do, I’ll post them here. I tried Amy’s moss st inc and it is the closest I’ve come to getting it right but it surely is not perfect. Thanks for your help.

Finally heard from the pattern company. You inc the 3 sts by casting on at the end of the backside row. Thanks to all for help.
